I did some troubleshooting and realized that aim assist was pulling my crosshair to targets and tracking them without my hand on the mouse.
So I don't know if this is normal for mouse+keyboard, but it's broken to have software do the tracking and flicking for you. I was playing Rocket League earlier and switched to Splitagete and noticed that my aim was snapping against my movements and I thought for a moment my mouse was faulty.
I play with mouse and keyboard but I have a controller hooked up to my PC for games like Dark Souls, RPGs, and Rocket League.
